The football player also said he "can't wait" for this aspect of his upcoming wedding.
Travis Kelce says being around fiancée Taylor Swift has encouraged him to step outside his comfort zone, especially when it comes to food.
During the latest episode of the New Heights podcast released Wednesday, May 6, the Kansas City Chiefs star joked that Swift has made him feel “more like a man” because she introduced him to foods he never would have tried before.
The conversation began when retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce mentioned how Taylor had clearly broadened Travis’ experiences. Travis immediately encouraged his brother not to cut the conversation from the episode.
“We can totally use this,” Travis said. “There’s nothing wrong with it.”
Guest Kylie Kelce then chimed in, noting that Travis has become much more adventurous with food.
“Yeah, I’m more of a man when I’m around her,” Travis joked while laughing. “I’m eating foods I never even tried before.”
Later in the episode, Jason and Travis admitted they had both been extremely picky eaters growing up. Beyond introducing Travis to new meals, Swift has also reportedly cooked and baked for the Kelce family over the years, including homemade sourdough bread and her now famous homemade Pop Tarts, which Travis has publicly praised before.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce became engaged in August after dating for roughly two years. While fans continue speculating about wedding plans, the couple has remained private about the date and ceremony details.
The episode also featured golf champion Rory McIlroy, who compared hosting the Masters Champions Dinner to the feeling of a wedding day, describing how meaningful it is to have important people from every stage of life gathered together in one room.
“Travis, you’ll understand it this year when you’re sitting at your wedding,” McIlroy told him. “Having people there from every part of your life all together in one place is an unbelievable feeling.”
“I can’t wait,” Travis replied with a huge smile.
