Happening June 11 through July 19 at nightclubs Academy and Exchange L.A., the viewing parties will feature sets by artists and event brands repping their home countries.
Copa Del Rave has been a staple of the Los Angeles dance music scene since launching in 2019, and now the event is expanding in a major way ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicking off in June.
As part of the global tournament taking place across 16 cities in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, Copa Del Rave will host an ongoing residency of World Cup viewing parties at Academy LA and Exchange LA.
Each event will feature DJs, labels, and nightlife collectives representing countries competing in the day’s matches. Claude VonStroke is set to represent Team USA, while Reggaeton Rave, Gasolina, and Vibraza Records will support Mexico. Meanwhile, Blaq Pages and Afrobeats To The World will represent the African diaspora throughout the celebration series.
Organizers say the parties will continue both before and after matches, turning each viewing event into a full day and night experience centered around football and dance music culture.
The events will be free for guests who RSVP, though VIP tables will also be available for purchase. Fans can check the complete schedule and registration details online.
Since its launch, Copa Del Rave has raised more than $75,000 for charitable causes. This year’s proceeds will support Common Goal, which works to increase access to soccer opportunities for children around the world.
In a joint statement shared with Billboard, Copa Del Rave co founders Alastair Duncan and Jonathan McDonald described the residency as a dream opportunity.
“Copa del Rave has always been a huge labor of love, and we’re grateful for everyone’s support over the years,” they said. “For the stars to align, and us to be able to platform global dance music and DJ culture, and support a good cause alongside the world’s biggest sporting event here in LA, was a dream opportunity.”
They also thanked the participating DJs, venue partners, and the Academy team for helping bring the residency to life, adding that the coming weeks are expected to be “really fun.”
The World Cup itself is also drawing major involvement from the music industry this year. Recently, Madonna, Shakira, and BTS were announced as performers for the first ever FIFA World Cup halftime show, scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium.
