Green Man Festival 2025 is in full swing, and Friday’s lineup was capped off with an unforgettable return from indie duo Wet Leg. Festival-goers were treated to a surprise stripped-down set before the band took over the main stage as headliners, a full-circle moment since first performing at the event back in 2021.
With their second album, Moisturizer still fresh and widely praised, Wet Leg brought their signature mix of humor and sharp-edged indie rock to the big stage. Fans sang along to hits like “Chaise Longue” while also embracing new favorites from the record. Earlier in the day, they had drawn a huge crowd to the Round The Twist stage for a secret Green Man session that showed off a more intimate side of their music.
The Mountain Stage was buzzing throughout the day with standout moments. BC Camplight delighted fans with an unannounced set that featured highlights from his recent album A Sober Conversation, while rising band Wunderhorse impressed with a strong performance that perfectly warmed up the crowd ahead of Wet Leg’s headlining slot.
Over at the Far Out stage, Brooklyn rapper MIKE set a thoughtful, mellow atmosphere before Greentea Peng took over with her soulful and radiant energy. Closing out the night with songs from her second album TELL DEM IT’S SUNNY, she transformed the tent into a vibrant, sun-soaked celebration, even under the glow of the moon.
The festival also made space for activism and identity. The annual Green Man Pride March filled the site with color and energy as festival-goers paraded across the grounds. At the Talking Shop stage, singer and activist Charlotte Church sat down for an insightful conversation with Welsh radio presenter Huw Stephens, offering one of the day’s most powerful non-musical moments.
As the weekend rolls on, fans can expect even more from a stacked lineup that includes Underworld, CMAT, and English Teacher. With its first day setting such a high bar, Green Man 2025 is proving once again why it remains one of the UK’s most beloved festivals, balancing huge names, rising stars, and community spirit.
