Pennsylvanian artist Nate Young, known as Se7enDigits, blends upbeat rhythms and soulful melodies in his latest single, “Change Your Mind.”
Inspired by personal experiences, the track delves into the complexities of chasing someone who may not reciprocate. A bit more upbeat than other songs in his catalog, “Change Your Mind” is all about those rose-colored-glass moments in lust or love.
Se7en’s music, deeply rooted in hip-hop and R&B, is a testament to his unwavering commitment to sharing his unique perspective with his audience.
“I like to think I make music for reminiscing, late-night car drives, and in general music that resonates with people, even the more playful songs,” shared Se7en.
Se7en showcases his versatility in “Change Your Mind,” which he wrote, arranged, and mixed. Produced in partnership with AWGIU (All We Got Is Us Entertainment), this track is part of an upcoming project. While the release date for the project has not been finalized, fans can look forward to more updates, including an upcoming music video for “Change Your Mind.”
“This beat actually came from another producer. I like testing different things out, seeing what else is out there,” said Se7en. “I started with the beat and then freestyled with a bunch of melodies until I realized what the hook was going to be and then the verse.”
Throughout his career, Se7en has honed his skills as a musician and made significant contributions as a producer and engineer. He has collaborated with renowned artists such as Fetty Wap and PnB Rock, leaving his mark on the music industry with his distinctive sound.
Se7enDigits has been a fixture in the music industry for eight years, but his musical journey began much earlier. At just six years old, he started playing piano in his sister’s band, sparking a lifelong passion for music. Joining the school orchestra in fifth grade furthered his musical development while discovering Tupac in eighth grade ignited his interest in rap.
Throughout high school, he continued to pursue singing and producing beats, cementing his path in music.
“I started pursuing music professionally probably around 11th grade. I was trying to figure out what to do after high school,” continued Se7en. “I went to Full Sail University for a Bachelor of Arts in recording arts and was working on my music on the side. Eventually, I met with the head of my current label, who also happens to be one of my childhood friend’s fathers.”
Inspired by artists like Tory Lanez, J. Cole, and PnB Rock, Se7en aspires to create music that resonates with his audience personally. He aims to offer solace and support to his fans during their times of need, crafting relatable and enjoyable music. Drawing from his own life experiences of pain and struggle, Se7en is driven to use his music as a means of connection and healing for others.
