New York-based Multi-talented artist Trudytheproducer addresses a global issue in his single “Welcome to the World.” "A lot of people have things they don't speak up on. Mental health is one of them," explains Trudy.
The song comes from personal experience yet is highly relatable. "It's a common thing--a lot of people go through it," says Trudy of experiencing disloyalty. The single addresses disloyalty plaguing friendships and relationships that he devoted himself to.
“Welcome to the World” came to life after revisiting an old beat Trudytheproducer created a while back. "One day I played it again, and it just hit me out of nowhere. I heard the melody in my head and then I got to writing and the next think you know. I got a song," tells Trudy of the creative process behind his single.
"My cousin told me he knew this song would be a hit before I recorded it. I played the beat and started rapping the song. 'Dude do that again. Do it one more time' he kept saying.” And so Trudy the Producer performed over and over for his cousin while they sat in the truck. "That song be the one right there," stated his cousin. By the time Trudy got to the studio and laid down the track, his manager was on board and ready to run with it. Was Trudy's cousin right in the end? "Nah - he was right from the start."
Trudy the Producer's music can best be described as relatable, real, and authentic. "I want to motivate others to go after their dreams--no matter how big or small," shares Trudy. "As long as you put effort into what you want to do, you can make it happen."
Raised in a family full of musicians, Trudy the Performer developed a passion for music at a young age. From a hobby shared with his cousin to a career path, music has led him on a soul-searching, life-defining journey since childhood. "I'm a go-getter. Nothing stops me from reaching my goals," shares Trudy. "Whatever problem comes up, instead of letting it get me down, I'll figure it out. I'm not going to give up. I'm going to the top."
Flirting across genres is Trudy's musical style. From hip hop to rock, R&B to pop, the multitude of genres under Trudy's domain is unlimited. Trudy the Producer wants the world to know that he may come from a small town (Dothan, Alabama) but he can take on the world. "I feel like my message is more so showing others that no matter where you coem from, wherever you grew up, poor, rich, whatever, you can make it."
Next year, Trudy the Producer is looking to expand his music globally. "I want to help people along the way," tells Trudy of his journey. "I want to work with other artists and see my work pay off."
