COLUMBUS, OH - Tre Nash and Jenesis are two artists with a passion for music and a romance that could make any cynic swoon. These two have channeled their experiences in a relationship into an honest and intricate album titled To The Sky and Back.
Jenesis began performing and creating music at a very early age, but Nash’s career began only a few years ago. “Seeing Jenesis and how talented she is and the passion that she has when she’s working on music is really inspiring,” Nash explained. “I knew this was a person I could really learn from musically.”
Now, the pair is committed to exploring the way music can help them express themselves and connect to others. They steer away from the confines of genre and look to make music as universal as possible.
This is something that you can easily see in To The Sky and Back. The project, which follows a couple through the magic of the honeymoon phase all the way back to reality as they create a comfortable relationship for themselves, is as real as it gets.
“It’s a love story,” said Jenesis. “All relationships have their ups and downs and this album shows the different perspectives of a love story.” From the floaty feelings that “To The Sky” gives you at the beginning of the album all the way through to “And Back” at the end, this album shows you what love is really all about.
Nash and Jenesis truly live up to the ideas they are spreading with this album as well. “I think my favorite is ‘Give Me Your Soul’”, Nash revealed. “It really encapsulates the classic Rock feel that I try to bring into my music and I really just liked watching Jenesis work on the song after I gave her the instrumental.” Similarly, Jenesis’s favorite track, “See Them Up”, showcases Nash’s own coming of age story. The track showcases both artist’s skill and gives even more insight into who Nash really is.
Following the release of To The Sky and Back, both Nash and Jenesis are excited to focus on some projects of their own. Nash is looking into the release of another album and Jenesis is looking forward to sharing some of her singles with the world and getting back into performing live this summer. No matter what, both of these artists are on the path to great things and are well worth looking out for.
