The incident happened at Lilly's Club Monte Carlo in Monaco, France.
John Summit has addressed an incident that unfolded during his June 7 performance at Lilly’s Club Monte Carlo in Monaco, France, an event held during the Monaco F1 weekend and originally billed as a shared lineup with Travis Scott.
Footage circulating online shows the performance taking an unexpected turn when Travis Scott appeared on stage during Summit’s set, reportedly after arriving late to the venue. Video from the night captures Scott climbing over the DJ booth and beginning to perform while Summit was still on the decks.
Following the incident, John Summit posted on his Instagram Story on Monday (June 8), writing, “Monaco that was insane last night,” and describing the situation as chaotic. He added that his set was cut short due to “another artist showing up late and forcing his way onto the stage,” while thanking fans who were still able to enjoy the night.
He also shared a clip of himself playing his track “Go Back,” captioning it, “I wanna go back (onstage to finish my performance),” expressing frustration over how the set ended. In another post, he credited his production director John Fink for managing the situation and “holding it down during the chaos,” alongside footage showing a crowded stage environment and tension near the DJ booth.
A representative for Travis Scott did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Despite the disruption, John Summit remains on a busy touring schedule across Europe this summer, including a residency at Ibiza’s [UNVRS] club through July. He is also set to appear at major festivals such as Tomorrowland before returning to the United States for a headline set at Lollapalooza, followed by a North American arena tour in the fall.
