Dance artist Anyma’s Coachella 2026 set was called off roughly 15 minutes after its scheduled midnight start on Friday April 10 during weekend one of the festival. At the time of reporting, Anyma is still expected to perform next weekend.

The performance was meant to close out the main Coachella Stage, but shortly after 12:00 a.m., a message appeared on the screens informing the crowd that “due to strong winds affecting Anyma’s stage build, he is unable to perform tonight. Coachella and Anyma have made this decision together with your safety as the priority.

“I’m sorry everyone,” the artist later shared in the comments of an Instagram post from Coachella. “We’ve done everything in our control to build the show I’ve worked an entire year on. Safety always comes first and we’re working on a solution now.”

The main stage appeared to be prepared with various equipment and visual elements in place for the performance that ultimately did not happen. It is unclear which specific parts of the production were affected by the wind, especially since other performances across the festival continued as scheduled. Fans who had gathered for Anyma were seen moving to other sets, including Gordo at the Yuma Tent, Sexyy Red at the Sahara Tent, and Blood Orange at the Mojave stage, while others chose to leave the grounds.

The set was expected to mark the global debut of ÆDEN, Anyma’s latest production. It would have followed his late 2024 and early 2025 residency at Sphere Las Vegas, where the Italian American artist introduced his widely praised audiovisual show, The End of Genesys.

Based on his recent releases and visuals, Anyma’s new era leans into themes of ancient ruins and futuristic angel like figures, both of which appear in the videos for his Joji collaboration “Beautiful” and his LISA collaboration “Bad Angel.”
