Charli XCX is aiming for her third Number 1 album with Wuthering Heights.
Serving as her second soundtrack project following 2023’s Bottoms, the record accompanies Emerald Fennell’s big screen take on Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights. The collection has drawn strong reviews for the way it mirrors the intensity and atmosphere of the story.
If it reaches the summit, Wuthering Heights would sit alongside CRASH from 2022 and BRAT from 2024 as her third chart topper in the space of four years. Three songs from the album are also competing for spots inside this week’s Official Singles Chart Top 40.
Thanks to that renewed buzz, BRAT climbs six places in the midweek update and could return to the Top 40 at Number 39.
This puts Olivia Dean at Number 2 as the week begins. Her album The Art of Loving recently became the longest running Number 1 by a British female artist this decade, overtaking Adele’s 30.

Following news that Noel Gallagher will receive Songwriter of the Year at the 2026 BRITs, Oasis may see renewed interest in What’s The Story Morning Glory at Number 19 and Definitely Maybe at Number 33.
American R and B artist Brent Faiyaz is chasing a third Top 40 entry and what would be his highest placing since 2022’s WASTELAND with his new album Icon, currently at Number 20.
As fans count down to Bruno Mars’ forthcoming fourth solo album The Romantic, arriving Friday February 27, his 2010 debut Doo Wops and Hooligans is climbing again and stands at Number 27.
Fred again.. and USB could surge 59 positions to Number 30 after his recent Alexandra Palace performances in London drew widespread attention, with two more concerts scheduled for next week.
Finally, Sam Fender’s People Watching looks set to return to the Top 40 at Number 40. The Mercury Prize winning Number 1 album is also in the running for Album of the Year at the forthcoming BRITs.
