A 21 year old rapper who had been gaining momentum in the SoundCloud community has passed away.

Orlando based artist Maxon Margiela, born Maxon Reyes, reportedly died by suicide.

The Mexican outlet Somos Hermanos reported that Margiela had been taken to the hospital after the attempt and later died from his injuries.

The young performer, who built a following through his emotional blend of hip hop, lo fi and emo inspired sounds, drew attention with tracks such as Sexual Fantasies and Suck!.

Men's Journal confirmed Reyes’ passing through the Orange County Medical Examiner’s office, which stated, “He did pass away.”

According to the Medical Examiner, Reyes died on 16 November 2025, and the location of his death was Orlando, Florida.

The office added that the official cause has not yet been released, but could be available later on 17 November.

Reyes had tens of thousands of followers across his social media pages and collected millions of streams on Spotify.

He dropped his second mixtape in July, which featured well known songs including Sexual Fantasies and Austin Powers.

A little more than a month before his death, Reyes posted a now heartbreaking teaser on Instagram that showed him rapping about the “future.”

“Kiss The Future! Out everywhere...” he wrote in the caption.

Shocked fans have filled the comment section with messages of love and sympathy.

“Rest in paradise, Maxon Margiela. Fr one of the most genuine in the scene always brought good energy,” one supporter shared on X.
