Everybody Scream! Florence + The Machine are celebrating their fifth Official Number 1 album this week.

The group’s sixth studio album joins 2009 debut Lungs, 2011’s Ceremonials, 2015’s How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, and 2022’s Dance Fever in their growing list of chart-topping records.

Speaking exclusively to Official Charts, Florence Welch said, “Sixteen years on from Lungs, I take none of this for granted. I’m so grateful to everyone who took time with this record. It is a scream, but I also wanted it to be a balm to anyone who needed it. Sending love x.”

Selling the most vinyl copies this week, Everybody Scream also leads the Official Vinyl Albums Chart.

As her honest songwriting continues to resonate across the country, Lily Allen’s West End Girl climbs two spots to reach a new peak at Number 2. Despite only being available digitally so far, it marks Lily’s highest-charting album in 11 years, joining 2006’s Alright, Still (2), 2009’s It’s Not Me, It’s You (1), 2014’s Sheezus (1), and 2018’s No Shame (8) for an unbroken streak of five consecutive Top 10 albums. The news comes as Lily adds an extra London Palladium show to her West End Girl UK tour, which begins next March.

Cat Burns also celebrates a career milestone with her second Top 10 album, How To Be Human.

Following one of the biggest television moments of the year, The Celebrity Traitors’ Cat Burns achieves a personal best with her new record, which earns her the highest opening week of her career and debuts at Number 5 on the Official Albums Chart. It surpasses the success of her 2024 debut Early Twenties, which peaked at Number 7.

Referencing her TV success with a smile, Cat Burns accepted her Official Top 10 Award, telling Official Charts, “My album How To Be Human has been, and has always been from the start, a Top 10 album! Thank you guys so much for streaming and listening to the album, it genuinely means the world to me. It’s a body of work that I’m so, so proud of.

“I think it’s important to be vulnerable, it’s important to share your journey and remind people that you’re not alone. Thank you so much, love you all!”

How To Be Human also claims the title of this week’s most downloaded album, debuting at Number 1 on the Official Album Downloads Chart.

Elsewhere, The Charlatans celebrate their 11th Top 10 album with We Are Love, their highest-charting release in eight years, debuting at Number 8.

As they begin their European tour, Radiohead earn their 18th Top 40 album with Hail to the Thief (Live Recordings 2003–2009) at Number 12, featuring live versions of songs from their 2003 chart-topping album Hail to the Thief.

The Rock Orchestra make their first-ever appearance on the Official Albums Chart with Classics, Vol. 1, a collection of orchestral reimaginings of songs by artists such as Linkin Park and Rage Against The Machine, entering at Number 14.

Celebrating their Top 20 debut, founder and creative director Nathan Reed told Official Charts, “It feels so personal to have landed in the Top 20 this way, because we know we did everything from the ground up to get it here. I also really hope it’s some kind of inspiration for acts that can’t get the support they need to just problem solve their way there and go for it. Our fans are the core of what we do. We’re so lucky to have people that come to 10 or more shows in a single tour and support us night after night. We’re super grateful.”

Classics, Vol. 1 also debuts at Number 1 on the Official Record Store Chart, making it the top-selling LP in UK independent record shops this week.

Tyler, The Creator’s 2024 chart-topper CHROMAKOPIA returns to the Top 20 at Number 19 following the release of Mother, a new track celebrating the album’s first anniversary.

Rising Merseyside rapper EsDeeKid continues his steady climb through the charts, jumping 14 places this week to reach Number 25 with his debut album Rebel, marking its eighth consecutive week in the Top 100.

Bob Dylan secures his 57th Top 40 album with Through The Open Window: The Bootleg Series Vol. 18 (The Highlights), a compilation featuring some of his earliest live recordings, entering at Number 28.

Liverpool singer-songwriter Luvcat, also known as Sophie Morgan Howarth, earns her first-ever chart entry with her debut album Vicious Delicious, debuting at Number 31.

A Super Deluxe Edition of The Who’s 1978 album Who Are You re-enters the charts for the first time in 47 years, landing at Number 34. The record originally peaked at Number 6 on release.

Finally, marking its 20th anniversary, KT Tunstall’s debut album Eye To The Telescope re-enters the Top 40 at Number 35 with its Stargazer Edition, returning to the chart for the first time in 18 years. The record originally reached Number 3 in 2005.
