Juliera, an artist known for her soulful pop R&B ballads, celebrates the release of her latest single, “Bail On You," an uplifting tune, teetering on anthem music for all the heart-break warriors out there. Juliera's velvety, soulful vocal timbre harmonizes seamlessly with the rhythmically driven beat, creating an evocative sound as she delves into themes of emotional resilience, self-care, and redemption, culminating in a profound transformation.
“This song was all about me learning. It was about me trying not to make the same mistake again,” shared Juliera. “[In my previous marriage,] I let go of my dreams and everything but once I decided – no, absolutely not – things started to change. Even though I’m not 100% where I want to be, I’m in a much happier place on my own.”
Reuniting with her trusted collaborators, Juliera teamed up with recording engineer Kevin Rodriguez from The Record Co. and Zane Productions for the music video. Drawing inspiration from Shakira's “Can't Remember to Forget You” music video featuring Rihanna, Juliera crafted a visual masterpiece to complement her latest release. A natural-born writer, Juliera penned this song in less than 30 minutes.
“I was at the studio ready to record when I realized I forgot my computer – with all the lyrics! I had to try and remember some and guess other parts from what I originally wrote, but it took me about 30 minutes altogether,” confessed Juliera.
A self-taught writer, Juliera’s journey began during her undergrad years. What began with modest gigs and scattered lyrics eventually evolved into crafting full-fledged songs. Her talent quickly caught the industry's attention, leading to numerous songwriting requests. While she initially found solace in composing music, it was her continuous devotion to the craft that enabled her to confidently assume the titles of both singer and songwriter.
“It was great to be able to get paid and practice at the same time. I learned a lot about music during that process,” said Juliera.
Originally from Nigeria, Juliera currently lives in Quincy, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston. She received a BSc in Information Technology and Business Information Systems and moved to Boston in 2018 to acquire her Graduate certificate at Northeastern University in Business Administration. In 2020, she welcomed a baby boy into the world and now works full-time in Quincy as a multi-hyphenate entrepreneur.
Listeners can enjoy “Bail On You” and other ballads of Juliera’s across all music streaming platforms and stay connected on social media for new music, videos, and more.
