Singer-songwriter and producer Llace Sarabete (pronounced LACE SARA-BUH-TAY) celebrates the release of her debut single, “No Wife,” released this past May from her debut EP, Diamond Disguised as a Rock. Over a soulful melody, the song tells the story of a woman who devoted years of her life to loving a man, only to confront the painful revelation that he chose to marry someone else. This heartfelt ballad speaks to the pain of unrequited love and the process of healing from the loss, grief, and disappointment of a broken heart. “No Wife” is inspired by Llace’s personal experience in a 14-year relationship.

“I played the role of wife, but he ended up marrying someone else. This song was a way for me to express my pain and it ended up being really cathartic for me,” shares Llace.

In addition to heartbreak, the single also emphasizes the importance of self-respect and staying true to oneself throughout the journey – be it within the relationship, during the breakup, or while navigating the grieving process. The single explores themes of vulnerability, sisterhood, and self-empowerment, with musical storytelling reminiscent of the emotive sounds that defined the golden era of 90's R&B.

Diamond Disguised as a Rock showcases Llace’s remarkable versatility as a singer, effortlessly navigating a diverse range of genres, including R&B, Pop, Jazz, Soft Rock, and Blues. With each track, Llace proves herself to be a true musical chameleon, skillfully adapting her voice to fit the distinct essence of each genre, resulting in an album that beautifully mirrors her impressive skillset and creative prowess.

“I really wanted to capture the attention of true music lovers,” says Llace.

In addition to “No Wife,” the songstress is excited to receive listeners' feedback on the eclectic mix of musicality and content. She runs the gamut of genres from “Atlanta,” an anthem song that pays homage to her hometown; “Birthday,” a seductive R&B and Hip Hop-infused track; and “Champion,” a soft rock anthem. Under the management of KES Music Network, Llace will release “Birthday” and “Atlanta” in August; the full album drops this September. This week, listeners can enjoy the debut of the “No Wife” music video, available on YouTube and Vevo.

Llace Sarabete, born Lisa Wilkerson, calls the Peach State of Georgia home. She began her singing career at the young age of seven. By the time she was in her early teens, she was already performing in school choruses, contests, and other programs. At the age of 14, Llace became the lead singer of a band called "The Dance Machine" and began performing in nightclubs. Through her talent and hard work, she graced the stages of Atlanta's finest venues, including the Atlanta Civic Center, Lakewood Amphitheatre for the Birthday Bash, and Phillips Arena for the Funk Rap Fest. She also trained at Nick Conti’s Professional Actor’s Studio, based in Atlanta. After college, Llace continued on to business school, which empowered her to create her own record label.

When asked about the significance of her stage name, Llace shares that the double “L” represents her nickname “Lisa Lace,” “Sara” is in honor of her late Aunt, and “Bete” is a play on her mother’s name, Betty.
