Apparently, a broken leg is no problem for the British rocker's touring schedule.
Yungblud suffered a broken leg during a motorcycle accident, although the injury does not appear likely to stop him from performing.
The singer announced the news through Instagram on Sunday, Aug. 13, sharing several pictures of his injured leg. Adding some humour to the situation, he selected “I’m Still Standing” by Elton John as the post’s accompanying music. His message remained short and direct: “Leg f–ked. Still giggin. Still standin (sort of).”
Yungblud also assured followers that his scheduled concerts are moving forward. “Portugal and Belgium I’m comin and it’s gonna be f–king mad. See you next week, Let’s ride,” he wrote to conclude the post.
A spokesperson for Yungblud told Billboard that the 29 year old artist fractured his leg in a minor motorcycle incident last week while attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. The yearly gathering, which attracts riders from across the world, ran from Aug. 7 through Aug. 16.
Even with the injury, Yungblud appears committed to continuing his tour schedule. His mention of Portugal and Belgium refers to upcoming performances at Vilar de Mouros Festival and Pukkelpop Festival, where he is due to appear during the next week. Based on his statement, he has no intention of allowing the broken leg to reduce the intensity of those shows.
Yungblud is currently performing in support of his 2025 record Idols, along with One More Time, his collaborative EP with Aerosmith. The joint project reached No. 9 on the Billboard 200 in December.
His update makes it clear that audiences should not expect the injury to quiet his famously energetic concerts. It remains uncertain whether he will actually be able to stand throughout each performance, but his plans are obvious. Yungblud is heading to Portugal and Belgium, broken leg included.
