Truly beginning his journey into the realm of contemporary music production in the 80’s TheMahfuzR, along with several colleagues, recorded an album that never really made it out of the studio. Now so many years later, he has taken one of those songs, reworked it into his own personal image, and finally released it to the world.
“Photograph Book” is a song about remembering what it is like to lose someone you have fallen so utterly in love with. “It is a story of losing what means the most in this world to you,” he explained.
This song, altered from its original presentation in the 80s, contains its original melody and beat, but diverges in its lyricism. It now takes on a storyline that closely follows TheMahfuzR’s own life, providing both an inner perspective on who the artist is and gifting his audience with a relatable and honestly emotional concept to connect to.
“With every loss, there is someone there who can share in that emotion,” TheMahfuzR says. “I find that thought truly comforting and I hope my music can provide that sense of hope and comfort.”
Following the release of “Photograph Book”, TheMahfuzR is looking forward to the release of several other upcoming tracks. “These new songs are going to be a little bit different from this one,” he explained. “There is a lot to come from me.”
TheMahfuzR hopes that all of his music can be a place of solace and support for his audience. “If I can be motivating to others, then I hope they can receive that from me,” he said. “I want to be a comfort to them.”
TheMahfuzR is also looking forward to future collaborations and connections with other musicians and creatives. There are a collection of new ideas that he is excited to share with the world, and so many who can help him to create these works.
