Two powerhouse artists come together as Pure Order to redefine the meaning of Conscious Rap

In 1998 California artists Nemesis and God’s Gift coined the name Pure Order. The duo spent the next decade and a half jamming together and working their way up to their first released collaboration in 2013, on the song “Lighthouse” by God’s Gift and DJ Shag, under the name De Bergerac.

Ten years later, with an even stronger passion and more deeply honed skill set, they are releasing their newest single, “New World”. This electric song is a lyrical escape from the exhausting stressors of today’s political climate. “Seeing the variety of what negativity has gone on in the world, we needed an escape,” the duo explained. “This song tunes into the feeling of being distraught and hopeless, and offers a different, more uplifting way of thinking.”

“New World” is a song that dares you to create a world all your own through the power of conscious thought. With a brilliant energy and intuitive lyrics, this piece encourages you to consider your place in the world and dares you to put in the effort to consider how you make your way through it.

Pure Order was bred from “the desire to have fun and create Hip Hop that still has a message,” as Nemesis explained. While starting as a dream long ago, it has since grown into a highly focused presentation of these two artists’ intention to make the world into a better, more considerate place. The duo hopes to take their passions and turn them into their own unique brand of Conscious Rap and change the way musicians aim to utilize their lyrics for the greater good.

Along with the release of “New World”, 2023 has much to offer from the Pure Order duo. Together they are looking forward to their next single, which will feature the ever exciting Chino XL and notable producer Oh No The Disrupt. “This is a hard hitting song with topics that make us all a little uncomfortable,” they explained. They are also looking forward to a collection of visual releases and several individual projects.

These artists want to remind their audience that there are so many ways you are able to support your favorite musicians, whether it is through purchases and funding or simply through engaging with them on social media, watching their videos or inviting your friends to do the same. They are incredibly grateful for the support they receive and look forward to connecting with their audience in the coming year.
