With dozens of songs already streaming, LilérrehendriX (“Lil-air-hendriX”) is set to drop his latest EP in early October. The young artist is a talented producer with a knack for exploring and blending sound to create a versatile listening experience for listeners across the globe.
LilérrehendriX’s latest project comes just in time for Halloween with a catalogue of dark melodies that are fitting for the season. “I want listeners to be safe. Don’t do anything out of pocket while you’re listening to this,” LilérrehendriX reminds us. “If you like this kind of music, you might be into alternative activities, but be safe.”
LilérrehendriX—or Miles Beaux Jackson as he was born—began crafting music in his mother’s basement in the early days under the moniker “Piérre Hendrix.” While working on his craft, LilérrehendriX spent endless hours experimenting with sound and honing in on what he most enjoyed. This early play lead to his first song, “Had 2,” released in summer of 2020, which featured an R&B/soul upbeat instrumental. It was soon followed by “DELUXURY” AND “PURPOSE.” Following the release of several singles, LilérrehendriX decided to forgo his college education to work on his solo debut album, “'LÉRRE. 'LÉRRE & 'LÉRRE (DELUXE).” Shifting from “Piérre Hendrix” to LilérrehendriX came around this time, after the release of his fifth and final mixtape under that name.
Born and bred Philadelphia native, LilérrehendriX rose above the temptations of street life to create a life for himself within music. His love of hip hop and rap—especially the 808 style—have led him to develop his own sound within the two genres. In recent years, LilérrehendriX has also started performing locally. “I’m pretty new to it but I plan on getting my feet in there and making the most of it.”
Creating music comes naturally to LilérrehendriX. “If I get inspiration from something, I’ll write themes down, but for the most part I make the beat first. I’m always trying to think of ways to speed up the creative process without affecting the quality of my music. And have fun making music,” he shares.
At the end of the day, LilérrehendriX wants to have fun. “I’m always trying out new styles, from what I wear to what I eat. And I combine all that into my album. I put that into the life of my listeners, too. Maybe they’ll get some inspiration from me.”
