It’s a massive undertaking for the indie rapper, but he says the total package is worth all the effort that went into it.

BUFFALO, NY – Hip-hop artist Hollowed B’s latest album “The Juice” isn’t just full of incredible rhymes and danceable party anthems. It’s also a full-on visual concept album with animated videos ready to launch for each song. Since its release on July 1, this unique sound has been making waves all across the U.S.

It’s a massive undertaking for the indie rapper, but he says the total package is worth all the effort that went into it.

“The is my past couple years of life wrapped up into an album. It’s about perseverance and making it through hard situations. It’s my baby,” Hollowed B says. “It’s got something for everyone on it – fat cats, partiers, hip-hoppers. It’s an album for anyone who’s striving to do anything in life.”

The plan is to release one animated video each week, then combine them into a full animated movie.

“The idea came because I draw, I’m an artist,” Hollowed B says. “When I was sitting there thinking of what I wanted the video to be, I started drawing it out and I had a lightbulb moment. Why not do the whole album like that? Why not give them more? I’m always trying to give the fans more.”

That philosophy of giving the fans more is evident on the lead single “RumSpringer,” which Hollowed B describes as “the ultimate party song.” The name is a reference to the Amish rite of passage where youth leave their communities to experience the outside world for the first time. The song itself is a classic hip-hop party anthem, calling all listeners to hit the dance floor and get wild to the phat thumping bassline and lightning-fast rhymes.

“This song is for people who’ve never experienced certain things, been in clubs, never drink, had weird types of sex. The idea that they get a night to do all of that is what I want to do with my music. I want people who’ve never experienced certain things, to experience them through my music. I want my name to be synonymous with that tradition,” Hollowed B says.

Hollowed B says he didn’t originally intend to put “RumSpringer” on the album, but the response from listeners was so strong that he made a focus of the album’s launch. It has already blown up on streaming and YouTube and been featured on Upcoming100.com’s Emerging Artist Chart, where fans have voted it to the number 2 position.

“I want everybody reading to vote for me on the Emerging 300 Charts,” Hollowed B says.

“The Juice” is filled with tracks that showcase Hollowed B’s rhyming chops and talent for getting people to get up and dance, but he says the album is even deeper than that.

“My music is inspiring. My music is real. My music is transformational. I can change the way people think or view music. It’s motivational,” he says. “I think it’ll be one of those albums that down the line people will take a fine tooth comb to it and examine it, they’ll see it as nothing less than incredibly original.”
