SAN DIEGO, CA - An artist who is simply looking to use his own music as an outlet, Twon is an impeccably thoughtful and talented musician. The recent release of his mixtape The Vault: Unlocked has already given fans a taste of who he is and his upcoming singles are about to give them so much more.

Beginning as a self-taught drummer, Twon has always used music as a way to release his own emotions. It was not until his relocation from New York to San Diego that his focus switched to lyricism and Rap. “It was therapeutic for me,” he explained. “Then slowly it took on a life of its own. It really took off from there.”

After releasing several singles, Twon released an eight-track mixtape in March of 2022. The Vault: Unlocked is an accumulation of the past year of his life, providing a deep dive into who the artist is and how he has experienced a year that has surely been impactful to so many. “I am giving people the treasures that have been locked up inside of me,” he said. “Everything that makes me who I am.”

The main focuses of The Vault: Unlocked, as well as all of Twon’s other music are to focus on enjoying love, enjoying life and achieving greatness. These themes can be seen throughout all of the tracks on the mixtape as well as within his upcoming singles, “God Mode” and “Gotchu.”

“God Mode” in particular truly shows the affirmation of achieving greatness. “It is the follow up to the mixtape,” Twon explained. “It shows a more aggressive side to my music.” The upcoming track continues to further the depth and versatility that Twon is able to share with his audience while staying strong to his main views.

Following “God Mode” will be the release of “Gotchu.” This track continues to show another side of the artist. The track is focused on a more romantic connection. “What I’m saying in this song is no matter what, I’ve got you,” Twon said. This song really gets into his views of enjoying life and the love that comes into it.

Alongside the release of both “God Mode” and “Gotchu,” Twon is preparing to release the music video for his favorite track on the mixtape, “Promise,” in June. He is also excited to continue to release more singles throughout the year  and continue to perform around the San Diego area as he continues to work on his skills and improve as an artist.
