LOS ANGELES, CA - From realizing his gift as a child to becoming an award winning artist, Jarid Williams has always been up to exciting things as a musician, but it wasn’t until recently that he decided to share his talent with the US. Williams’ newest single, “Reckless” is not only on its way to becoming a hit, but is also his American debut.

Williams’ music career has been on the rise since he was only eight years old, singing for his grandfather’s birthday. From there, he began booking performances at everything from weddings to clubs. “I really started taking things seriously when I was about 14 or 15,” he said. “Event promoters were sneaking me through back doors to perform, and because I was under age, I would just sing and go home.” In 2017, he released his first EP, Unfall in Love, and has continued to expand his skill and career.

Now in 2022 Williams is an incredible artist, with fans across the world, a variety of tours across Australia and South Africa, and a thriving new release in the US. “Reckless”, which was born during the brunt of the Covid-19 pandemic,  is a song about temptation and the struggle of wondering what you could be missing out on. “Everybody has experienced some tension before where you know you've got a good thing at home but sometimes feel like the grass is greener on the other side,” Williams explained. This song is about that internal fight over whether or not it is time to move forward.

A struggle that many of us have had to experience, this song talks about things that are rarely expressed, and does so in a gorgeous and honest way. The entire track has an exceptionally real feel to it that truly shows you who Williams is as an artist. “I want my audience to know that when they hear me, it’s a journey they can relate to,” he said. “I want them to grow with me through each song that I release.”

Following the release of “Reckless”, Williams is excited to share the house remix of the track at the upcoming Sundown Music Festival, where he will be headlining. After that, he is excited to get back into the studio with a fresh project and some exciting producer collaboration in April.
