The B-52s are to receive the 2,861st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The band behind Love Shack will be officially honoured with the star on 29 October.
"The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome the B-52s to the Hollywood Walk of Fame," Ana Martinez, Walk of Fame producer said in a statement.

SiriusXM presenter Richard Blade will host the ceremony. Members of The Go-Go's, who were awarded their own star in 2011, and musician, actor and comedian Fred Armisen are scheduled to deliver speeches during the livestreamed event.
The band's star will be situated at 6212 Hollywood Boulevard, outside Amoeba Music.
The B-52s reached a career high in 1989 with Cosmic Thing, which climbed to No. 4 on the US Billboard 200 and spent 65 weeks on the chart. The record produced two consecutive hit singles, Love Shack and Roam.
The original members were Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson, Cindy Wilson, Ricky Wilson and Keith Strickland. Ricky Wilson died from an AIDS-related illness in 1985, while Strickland ceased touring with the band in 2013.
After announcing farewell tours on several occasions, the group is preparing to conclude its current Cosmic De-Evolution Tour, co-headlined with Devo, in Palm Desert, California, on 31 October.
