Robyn introduced two brand new songs during a New Year’s Eve performance in New York.
The Swedish pop star took to the stage at Brooklyn Paramount for a show billed as “Robyn and friends,” with additional sets from Kindness, Olof Dreijer, Danny Krivit and Dee Diggs.
Alongside a selection of her best known tracks, Robyn used the night to premiere two previously unheard songs, ‘Talk To Me’ and ‘Sexistential’.
The first is a bright, disco leaning pop track that features the NME Songwriter Of The Decade winner delivering the line: “Just hit me up and talk to me“.
The second song leans into a darker, more atmospheric space, driven by heavier beats and moodier textures. Both performances can be heard below.
The latter meanwhile, is a darker moodier track filled with heavy beats. You can listen to both below.
During the set, she also performed ‘Dancing On My Own’ and early hit ‘Show Me Love’.
Elsewhere in the set, she revisited fan favourites including ‘Dancing On My Own’ and her early breakthrough ‘Show Me Love’.
Robyn is set to return to the same Brooklyn venue again tonight January 2.
Earlier in the evening, she also appeared in Times Square as part of Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper’s annual New Year’s broadcast, where she performed her recent single ‘Dopamine’.
The performance followed her full live return in November 2025, when she played the Fonda Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles, marking her first complete show since 2019.
Robyn has not released a studio album since 2018’s widely praised ‘Honey’, though talk of a new record intensified last September when longtime collaborator Klas Åhlund appeared on the Nordmark Pod and said he had “just finished a new Robyn album that’s coming out”.
She has also teased new material more recently during a performance at Acne Studios’ show during Paris Fashion Week.
Her most recent album ‘Honey’ received four stars from NME, with the review noting: “From an artist who conjures up so many lofty titles – pop genius being one of them – this is a record that takes an altogether different tack to cut through to the raw, complex tangle of emotion.”
Since the release of ‘Honey’, Robyn has appeared on select collaborations, including ‘Call My Name’ with Swedish duo Smile in 2021, as well as a 2024 remix of Charli XCX’s ‘360’ alongside Yung Lean.
Last year saw her make a handful of notable live appearances, beginning with a surprise team up with David Byrne for ‘Dancing On My Own’ at Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary concert, followed by a joint performance with Gracie Abrams at Lollapalooza.
In March 2025, she also made an unannounced appearance with Jamie xx in Copenhagen, joining him onstage for a live rendition of ‘Life’, a track from his 2024 album ‘In Waves’, which they had previously performed together at Glastonbury.
More recently, Jamie xx shared a trance inspired remix of ‘Dopamine’.
