Fans Express Relief as Famous Dex Looks Healthy in Latest Video

Supporters have worried about Famous Dex throughout the decade, though he now seems to be on a healthier path.

Famous Dex captured the attention of hip hop fans throughout the 2010s with breakout records like “PICK IT UP,” “JAPAN,” and several others. His rapid rise coincided with his time in Rich Forever, the collective that also featured Rich The Kid and Jay Critch. That momentum, however, did not carry over into the 2020s, which have been far more turbulent for the Chicago rapper.

For much of the last several years, supporters have openly feared for Dexter’s well being. Those concerns peaked when he chose to check himself into rehab toward the end of 2020. The stay was brief, lasting only until the final days of January 2021.

That moment of recovery did not last long, as legal troubles followed and eventually led to time behind bars. He later showed signs of sobriety again in 2023, but that progress appeared to stall in 2024 after a wave of troubling posts surfaced online.

As a result, many fans began to lose confidence that things would truly improve in a lasting way.

Still, there appears to be renewed optimism after a recent batch of Live Bitez clips showed Famous Dex looking noticeably healthier. In the videos, he says he is sober once again and comes across as genuinely upbeat and comfortable on camera.

Are Famous Dex & Rich The Kid Beefing?

After briefly showing off his new mansion, Dex wraps up the video with a short but heartfelt note to viewers. “I love y'all.”

The comment section quickly filled with supportive reactions, including one fan who wrote, “I can actually understand what dude saying. The entire video. He looks so healthyyyyy [three teary eye emojis].”

Another commenter added, “Omg he looks so good!! Last time i saw him he was nodding off! Look at God!!!” while a third shared, “I support overcoming any addiction! Go Dex ! [two red heart emojis] you look happy and [bar soap emoji].”

Many are hoping this moment signals real stability for the rapper. While much of what he has faced stems from his own actions, there is no denying the amount he has had to push through, and his current mindset suggests resilience.

Even with the positive turn, unresolved tension remains in the background. Just last month, Famous Dex accused Rich The Kid of withholding payment related to Rich Forever 5 and went as far as threatening a confrontation, saying, “I never thought I would make a video like this. He changed my life. I salute him, I love him for that. But, bro, all this sht you done done since 2016. On my mom grave, Rich, when I see you, I'm beating your as. All you been doing is scam, bro. Where my money from Rich Forever 5? Where, where is my money at? You think I didn't save the texts and send some to my lawyer. That's so unfair. Me and you and Jay Critch. We was the sh*t.”
