Oasis have declined the opportunity to perform at The Sphere in Las Vegas.

After reuniting for a run of successful shows this year, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher have been flooded with offers for more live dates, but the pair and their bandmates have reportedly turned down an approach from The Sphere following advice from their friend Bono.

A source told The Sun’s Bizarre column, “Noel has always admired U2’s ability to put on incredible shows, from Zooropa to PopMart and the Achtung Baby revival at The Sphere.

“Oasis have the power and the financial means now after their Live ‘25 run to launch a residency at The Sphere.

“Their graphics team is top-notch and they have the talent to design a fully immersive experience for fans at The Sphere, which could include visuals of the band from their Manchester beginnings up to the present.

“But when the idea of performing at The Sphere came up, Noel said he wasn’t interested.

“He remembered Bono complaining about the massive cost of putting on a show there.

He has always kept a close eye on the bottom line for himself and the band when it comes to production costs.

“But he’s not about to waste money on a spectacle that would end up losing money for everyone involved.”

Bono’s U2 held a residency at The Sphere from September 2023 to March 2024.
