Matty Healy has angered many fans of The 1975 after removing one of the band’s songs from all streaming platforms.

On Tuesday, fans quickly noticed that Human Too, the ninth track from the group’s 2022 album Being Funny in a Foreign Language, had disappeared from streaming services.

After fans began posting online about the song’s removal, frontman Matty Healy responded to a Reddit thread discussing the issue and confirmed that the track had been deliberately taken off the album.

He also hinted that he no longer feels connected to the song, three years after it was first released.

Human Too was removed from the album so the album is more how I want it to be,” he explained. “Previous physical release obviously remain the same.”

The singer went on to suggest that another track might face a similar fate.

“I doubt the same will happen with any other records as I am pretty happy with them outside of What Should I Say from Notes on a Conditional Form. So that may also be removed, who knows,” he added.

Disappointed fans flooded the thread with comments criticizing Healy for deleting a song that had become a fan favorite, urging him not to remove What Should I Say, which appears on their 2020 album Notes on a Conditional Form.

When one fan begged him to keep the song, Healy simply replied, “Ok no worries x.”

Human Too has now been removed from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and all major streaming platforms.
