YULEE has released her first album PARACETAMOL along with a music video for the album’s lead single of the same name. The five-track album was released on July 9.
YULEE says the songs on the album are meant to share hope and encouragement. She wants honesty to be at the forefront of her songwriting and composes songs that people can relate to. She also shared that she feels a sense of responsibility as an artist to make music like this and be her natural self.
YULEE views music as an opportunity to tell stories that sometimes may be difficult to talk about, but through her music she can convey emotions and feelings in a different way.
She says that there’s a certain level of difficulty that comes with this, but as long as people experience the love, encouragement and other positive emotions she put into the music, she will feel honored.
The title of the lead single is intentional as she sings of pain and escaping the past. Guitars create an uplifting atmosphere as they ride the line between soft rock, pop and maybe even country.
The steady drum beat keeps the song moving along at a moderate pace while leaving room for YULEE’s vocals to shine at the forefront. The background vocals on the track are minimal, only appearing at certain moments to enhance YULEE’s voice. They come in during the song’s hook and the bridge, which precedes a guitar solo.
The music video finds her singing in a peaceful setting by a roadside pasture as the sunlight shines down on her. The song itself and the music video go hand in hand as one enhances the other equally, providing a pleasant feeling both through the visuals and the audio.
YULEE, who has been making music for five years, will make her debut performance in the United States at The Fonda Theater in Los Angeles on July 20. She is both nervous and excited about the performance. By practicing, managing her time, using self-discipline and taking breaks before the performance, she knows she can do well on stage.
YULEE is hoping the success of this performance will take her to the next step in her plan, which is a tour across the United States. But on the casual side, she hopes to be able to enjoy the city of Los Angeles and enjoy the attractions there.
YULEE said she wants to make music that is “socially responsible” and that the most important aspect of the album is its honesty. The album’s five songs convey a story that YULEE hopes people find encouraging and motivational.
She wants people to be able to relate to overcoming a loss of any kind in their own lives and know that even though things may not be going well, things will change for the better and life will continue if you look at it through a positive perspective.
