3AM Tokyo, one of the top regional and national cover acts, has unleashed their latest single, “Whoa Oh Oh,” and it's a genre-blurring blend of Hip-Hop, pop, and reggaeton. Renowned for their knack for reimagining chart-toppers and revving up the DJ vibes, 3AM Tokyo's sonic palette boasts a universal charm. “Whoa Oh Oh” encapsulates the band's distinctive sound, flaunting a boom-bap baseline, an unmistakable dembow rhythm, and a pop-tinged hook that's nothing short of infectious. Lyrically, the track delves into desire, infatuation, and fiery passion, zeroing in on that irresistible falling-in-lust phase of romance.
“I didn’t want to write another love song. I wanted to express that first moment of attraction. I had Black Rob’s song, ‘Whoa!’ in my head, and thought, how can I express that feeling when it comes to dating and intimacy,” shared Picasso Brown, band leader of 3AM Tokyo.
The vocals serve as the driving force behind this track, propelling it forward with unwavering finesse. Enter Eliza Vitale, a versatile talent who seamlessly weaves the narrative of the song. With her roots in acting and a Broadway pedigree, Eliza brings a compelling storytelling element to the mix. As the newest addition to the band, Eliza infuses her background in commercial, theatrical, and operatic work into the already diverse and dynamic soundscape of 3AM Tokyo. Beyond her captivating lead vocals, Eliza joined forces with Picasso to co-write the song, showcasing a remarkable synergy.
Picasso, not one to shy away from multi-tasking, took the reins in mixing, mastering, and production duties, demonstrating a true maestro's touch in sculpting the track's sonic landscape.
“I put this group of touring artists together about ten years ago, and I’m so glad to have Eliza join the mix,” said Picasso Brown.

“I wanted to bring people into the visual context of our music,” explained Picasso Brown. “So, I built a light show with an LED wall. We started using them long before they became popular in the States. We also created different theatric scenes throughout the performance and accompanying content on the stage monitors.”

When one artist has a gig, there’s usually someone available to step in,” said Picasso Brown. “I also have a production partner, HeatSeekerz; we’ve been dipping in TV and film a lot more and have some exciting things lined up!”
